PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture products having many kinds of cross-sectional shapes without changing dies and without bringing with surface oxidation and also not to roll oxides and impurities into the interior of the products when a copper bus bar, copper bar, or the like, is manufactured using conform extruding method. ;SOLUTION: After transferring a copper base stock from which an oxidized film and impurities on the surface are removed with a cleaning machine 1 to a conform extruder 2 and extruding it into a strip shape or bar shape, the base stock is successively transferred to a width rolling mill provided with vertical rolling rolls 17 the degree of pressurization of which is adjustable and a thicknes rolling mill 4 provided with horizontal rolling rolls 18 and rolled into a prescribed cross-sectional shape, furthermore, transferred to a cooling tank 5, cooled down to a normal temp. and also a feeding device 7 for a reducing gas or an inert gas is provided and a series of extruding, rolling and transferring stages are executed in the atmosphere of the reducing gas or inert gas.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
