PURPOSE:To facilitate execution by equipping an erector of upper stage of the segment building erectors in two or more stages in an excavator with a pair of right and left independent hoist devices selecting either single or simultaneous operation. CONSTITUTION:A shield main unit 1 provides in its rear part setting up segment building erectors 7, 8 in two upper and lower stages equipped in an axial symmetrical position on the same turn ring 10 in the upper-stage erector 7 with a pair of right and left independent hoist devices 11, 11'. Next the erector provides between the hoist devices 11, 11' space 22 for carrying a segment in each hoist position. Subsequently, each hoist device 11, 11' is provided with a function holding, pressing, longitudinally moving the segment and preventing its deflection, being made possible to select single and simultaneous operations. When the long segment in both blade parts is in assembly, the hoist device 11 is singly operated hoisting the segment lowered in a predetermined position performing the assembly.
