NEW MATERIAL:4-Chloro-4'-trifluoromethylsulfonyloxybenzophenone-N'-[1-(N,N- dimethylamino)ethylidene]hydrazone of formula I. USE:An insecticide having excellent insecticidal activity and effective even against vermin resistant to existing inaecticides. PREPARATION:The compound of formula l can be produced by (a) reacting the compound of formula II with a compound of formula III (R is lower alkyl) or (b) reacting the compound of formula IV with the compound of formula V or (c) reacting the compound of formula VI with dimethylamine or (d) reacting the compound of formula VII with dimethylamine.
