PURPOSE:To regulate the distribution of fuel flow rate to each burner and keep thermal load on each water cooled wall to a specified suitable value by measuring the temperature of a fluid at the outlet of each water cooled wall by means of a thermometer and regulating a fuel flow rate adjustment valve that is provided at each burner. CONSTITUTION:Fluids flowing through water cooled walls 1 and 3 on side walls, water cooled wall 2 on front wall, and water cooled wall 4 on rear wall flow to a water separator 13 via a header and a communication pipe after cooling each water cooled wall. Fluid temperatures of connecting pipes 9 - 12 are measured respectively by thermometers 14 - 17 and the fluid is sent to a controller 18. Fuel flow rate meters 17 - 20 measure the fuel flow rate to burners 30 and 33 and send their signals to a controller 28. The controller 28 judges the relation between the state of fluid temperature of the fluids flowing through each water cooled walls 1 - 4 and the flow rate of the fuel flowing to burners 30 - 33 by the signals of the respective thermometers and fuel flow rate meters, and at the same time the controller 28 regulates the degree of opening of fuel flow rate regulating valves 23 - 26 and changes the fuel distribution in the fuel flowing to the burners to change thermal load on the water cooled walls 1 - 4 and controls the fluid temperature of the fluid that is flowing through the water cooled walls 1 - 4 to a suitable temperature.
