PURPOSE:To obtain a horseback riding cushion member and horseback riding subbase course member for keeping a good horseback riding state always by covering sand, with olefinic polymer or oxygen-containing wax having carboxylic acid group or carboxylic acid anhydrous-group. CONSTITUTION:Among olefin polymer having carboxylic acid group or carboxylic acid anhydrous-group, for example, there is the monoolefin of ethylene, propylene, or the like, or the olefin type I, type II, or more of the diolefin or the like of butadiene, isoprene, or the like, or the copolymer of these together with unsaturated carboxylic acid or its derivative. Besides, among acid- containing wax, for example, there is natural wax, synthetic wax, polyhydric carboxylic acid denatured-wax, the mixture of these, or the like. The compounding ratio of covering material is 0.1-10wt.%, the olefinic polymer having the carboxylic acid group or carboxylic acid anhydrous-group as the composition of the covering material, of 100-0wt.%, the oxygen-containing wax of 0-100wt.%, preferably said polymer of 95-50wt.%, or the oxygene-containing wax of 5-50wt.%, to the dry weight of normal sand.
