PURPOSE:To perform the output control of an induction motor simply, easily and surely by performing the output control of the induction motor by the control of fuel supply quantity supplied to a prime mover. CONSTITUTION:A current detection circuit 7 is inserted into a power supply circuit 6 from an AC generator 3 to an induction motor 8. The current detection circuit 7 detects the current flowing to the AC motor 8 and outputs it to an electronic control device ECU as current information. An electric governor 2 receives a rotating speed command 11 or an injection quantity command 12 from the electronic control device ECU according to the condition of operation and operates an engine EN in a full speed control mode or in an injection quantity control mode. In controlling an electric diesel rolling stock in this way, by controlling the electronic governor 2 in switching over from the full speed control mode to the injection quantity control mode according to the load and condition of the rolling stock, the torque appropriate to the load and condition of the rolling stock can easily be obtained.
