Wave environment control structure by artificial island

PURPOSE:To improve calmness in an area behind an artificial island by arranging artificial islands at suitable intervals in the offing, attenuating the wave energy coming in through the intervals between the artificial islands into these intervals while the wave is dispersed at an outlet area by means of forming a calm area behind the artificial islands. CONSTITUTION:Artificial islands 1 are arranged in the offing leaving intervals 3. Each seabed between the artificial islands 1 is formed symmetrically in straight slopes 5 gradually climbing from center portion toward the artificial islands 1. A flat area 6 is then provided in the central portion of the seabed. A wave vanishing structure 11 is added onto the side of each artificial island 1. Thus the calmness in an area behind each island 1 can be improved flatly as a result of dispersing the wave at an outlet area as well as the wave energy coming in through the intervals between the artificial islands 1 can be attenuated.
