Cylindrical sealed nickel-cadmium storage battery and its manufacturing method

PURPOSE:To improve oxygen gas absorbing capability without sacrifice of capacity and to make quick charging possible by inserting a carbon rod into the central space of a spiral plate group and electrically bringing it into contact with an anode plate. CONSTITUTION:A carbon rod 1 is inserted into the central space of a spiral plate group 2 and the carbon rod 1 is electrically connected to an anode so that the carbon rod 1 and the anode have the same polarity. Since the space of the spiral plate group 2 is formed for reasons of a manufacturing process, no problem occurs even if the carbon rod 1 is inserted into the space. Capacity is increased without decreased in oxygen gas absorbing capability and quick charging is made possible.
