α, ω-polymethacrylate diol, its manufacturing method, polyurethane and polyester manufacturing method, and alkyd resin and epoxide resin modification method
alpha , omega -polymethacrylate diols of the formula IMAGE where R1 is an optionally halogenated alkyl radical having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, R2 is (1) a divalent aliphatic, optionally unsaturated hydrocarbon radical having 2 to 20 carbon atoms, a cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon radical having 5 to 10 carbon atoms or an aliphatic-aromatic hydrocarbon radical having 8 to 20 carbon atoms, (2) a divalent aliphatic ether radical -R5-O-R6- whose radicals R5 and R6 together have 4 to 20 carbon atoms, or (3) a polyether radical of the formula -(CnH2nO)m-CpH2p-, where the index n has a value of from 2 to 4, the index m has a value of /= 1 and the index p has a value of 2, 3 or 4, R3 is a radical of a chain regulator known per se which contains a terminal hydroxyl group, and a has a value of /= 4, process for their preparation, and their use as the only diol components or one of the diol components in the preparation of polyesters, polyurethanes and for the modification of alkyd and epoxy resins.
