The present invention refers to the use of 2-(2,6-dioxo-3-piperidinyl)-1H-isoindol-1-1,3 (2H)-dione; N-(2,6-dioxo-3-piperidyl)phtalimide; a-phtalimidoglutarimide (generic Talidomide) in the treatment of worn syndrome (WS) in patients in the final stage, affected by HIV-1 (AIDS) or any disease (example: cancer) wherein said worn syndrome is manifested as complication of the same suffering and its possible therapeutic association with other useful chemical entities in these sufferings.
