The present invention describes an articulated reclining back with lumbar support, essentially comprising a back which is divided into two sections, the first one of said sections being movable and including a lumbar support, and the second one of said sections being fixed so as to provide stability to the back as a whole, both of said sections being joined by a pivoting movement mechanism wherein two high torque resistance springs made out of polymeric material are integral therewith to provide movement to the back, thereby allowing the back to return back to its original position when the user's body weight is not applied thereon.
