A mixture (14) of a solid explosive and of a binder is introduced into an enclosure (9, 13), and this mixture is subjected to the action of a piston (21) passing through the upper part of the enclosure (9, 13), in order to compress the solid explosive and extract the excess binder. To extract the excess binder, it is passed under pressure through a set of calibrated orifices (8) located at a distance from the part of the enclosure through which the piston (21) passes. The invention is used for producing a moulded explosive by compression filtration under a relatively low pressure and for producing this moulded explosive directly in the charge body (13), without the risk of deformation of the latter.
