The procedure closed to the conversion of nitrates to nitrites is based on that principle, that a sample of a biological material containing nitrates present in the sample or supplied to this sample or up to the cultivation environment, is being cultivated alone or in the cultivation environment n-phenyl diamine or the salts of it, in a concentration 0,01 up to 10 g.l-1 in the sample of the above mentioned biological material or cultivation environment actually, at the temperature 1 up to 70 Celsius degrees for 14 days, and after that the absorbency of the cultivated sample closed to the biological material or to the cultivated mixture closed to his biological material or to the cultivation environment, is being evaluated with use of the visual or photometry procedures.
