The cable pull-relief has cooperating clamp elements (24,30) for radially securing the electrical lead cable inserted in a housing. The clamp elements are assembled to provide a module which is pre-fitted to the cable before slotting into an insertion guide provided by the housing, which is open at one side. The first clamp element can be provided by a module housing (24) with a through bore (26) for the cable and a transverse threaded bore for reception of a clamping screw (30) acting as the second clamp element.
