This invention provides a method for producing amylolytic enzymes byculturing a microorganism, having received as a result of recombinantDNA technology DNA sequences from a donor yeast comprising thecoding sequences for the amylolytic enzymes wherein the hostmicroorgamism is capable of expressing said amylolytic enzymes.Furthermore, this invention provides microorganisms geneticallyengineered as to being able to produce and express the amylolyticenzymes, a vector containing the DNA sequences, coding for theamylolytic enzymes and the respective DNA sequences. The said hostmicroorganisms are useful in the production of biomass and manyfermentation processes, preferably in the production of special beers.
