TITLE:Vacuum Sizing Apparatus With Controlled VacuumABSTRACT:A vacuum sizing apparatus with a controlled vacuum isprovided. The vacuum is precisely controlled by the useof a variable speed motor driven vacuum pump and a stepmotor controlled vent valve. An electrical circuitcontaining a mirco-processor coordinates the speed of themotor driven vacuum pump with the position of the ventvalve to give precise vacuum control within the vacuumchambers of the sizing apparatus. A closed sump tankcontains water for the water system of the apparatus andis maintained at the same vacuum level as the vacuumchambers within the sizing apparatus.
