A hockey players gloves with removable weights in whichthe weights are insertable and removable from a pocket associatedwith a pad formed in the gloves in which a portion of the pad ispositioned between the inserted weight and the surface of the padadapted to engage or block a hockey puck that may be traveling ata relatively high rate of speed. The gloves may be used both as awarm up aid for use just prior to a game or as a training aidduring various practice periods. Padding in the hockey playersgloves which faces the shooter prevents contact of the hockey puckwith the weight with the surface of the puck blocking pad facingthe shooter retaining its normal characteristics so that movementof the puck and rebound of the puck will be same as occurs withoriginal equipment. The pocket receiving the weight is providedwith a closure and the weight is preferably metal and provided witha coating of resilient material, such as rubber or the like.
