In a shielded building for a nuclear installation, at least one inner wall (2) of the building is lined with cladding (14) which provides radiation shielding. The roof of the building is also lined with cladding (14). Also claimed are metal plates which have anchor bolts with which they can be attached to surfaces, for use in the above building.
