The lashing device is for bundling and firm packing of stackable objects, such as wooden sheet plates or similar, and comprises a lashing strap (1) with a tightening device (3). It has at least one base component (4) with a locating surface for the stacked objects (5). The base component has at least one opening (42) with closed cross-section, through which the lashing strap runs. The lashing strap forms a closed loop and has two ends which are connected unreleasably with the tightening device. The opening extends through the complete base component along its longitudinal axis and has a rectangular cross-section, the width of which is at least equal to that of the lashing strap.
