Non-pathogenic E.Coli mutant strain, process or their preparation and uses

Non-pathogenic E. coli mutants are produced from a pathogenic strain (cytopathic for HeLa cells and able: (a) to induce formation of actin filaments right through the cells, and (b) to increase the level of vinculin) by mutagenesis and selection for loss of cytopathic capacity.
