The present invention relates to a novel mutant strain capable of producing ß-galactosidase having high-transfer activity and a method of preparing ß-galactosidase using the same.;The strain of the present invention is a Bacillus sp. A1 strain, which is a microorganism producing ß-galactosidase, is selected as a parent strain through a mutant treatment. Bacillus sp. Is a strain of MWG 4442 (KFCC-10855), which is cultured in fermentation broth to accumulate ß-galactosidase and recovers the enzyme from the culture medium. Catabolite repression can produce ß-galactosidase with some release.
