(CNCM Institut Pasteur I-1642), a virus that causes swine diseases known as porcine reproductive and respiratory distress syndrome (PRRS), and a new clone obtained from the monkey kidney cell MA-104 (CNCM Institut Pasteur I-1643). /RTI By virtue of the harmlessness and high immunogenicity to pigs, the novel attenuated strains make it possible to obtain vaccines and diagnostic kits that enable early diagnosis of PRRS and effective preventive measures for such diseases.
