The present invention strongly inhibits the activity of 5 alpha-Reductase to fundamentally suppress the excessive production of sebum, and at the same time propionibactium acnes known as a causative agent for worsening acne. The present invention relates to a composition containing the extract (sophora flavescens) excellent in antimicrobial activity.
