FIELD: heat-power engineering; fuel-and-power complexes for estimation of losses of coal at bulk storage of coal pile. SUBSTANCE: estimation is performed for coal particles lesser than 200 mk in surface layer of pile to depth of weathering of up to 10 mm within preset period of time; beginning of this period is moment of time after forming the surface layer of pile; magnitude of wind erosion is found from the following formula: M = Δq•F•l•10-3, where Δq = q1er-q2eris loss of mass of erodible particles from surface of coal pile within preset period of time, kg/cu.m; q1eris mass of fraction of erodible particles at moment of time after forming the surface layer in pile, kg/cu.m; q2eris mass fraction of erodible particles in surface layer of pile upon termination of preset period of time, kg/cu.m; F is area of pile surface, sq.m and l is preset depth of weathering of erodible particles up to 10 mm. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
