FIELD: chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: 2,5-dihydrofuran is synthesized by butadiene monooxide rearrangement in the presence of catalytical system consisting of zinc halide, solvent and iodine-containing compound. Lithium iodide crystal hydrate of the formula LiJ•H2O in combination with N-methylpyrrolidone is used as iodine-containing compound. Reaction is carried out at 100-130 C under pressure 0.1-0.5 MPa.
