FIELD: tunneling technology. SUBSTANCE: according to method, new tunnel sections are constructed by lowering from first station below thalweg of wash-out. Longitudinal axis of new tunnel, right-hand as viewed forward from first station, is located over entire length in common vertical plane with longitudinal axis of old right-hand track. Then, distance is assigned for inscribing two normal curves: circular curve for conjugation of longitudinal profile components, and transitional curve in plan from beginning of second station platform to second vertical plane which is normal to first vertical plane. Separated on line of crossing these planes is vertical line which connects two points: one lower point referring to axis of new right-hand track, and one upper point related to axis of existing right-hand station track. Horizontal normal in second vertical plane is limited by center of circular curve which is standard for railway track of given radius. Drawn from lower point of vertical line is axis of new right-hand track with same radius over right-hand single-turn spiral to upper point of vertical line for connection with right-hand second station track. Intermediate component of longitudinal profile is laid from end of standard component of longitudinal profile at minimal downgrade which connects components of downgrade and upgrade to beginning of single-turn spiral to combine into common downgrade determining minimal steepness of spiral upraise. New left-hand tunnel is constructed in parallel to axis of right-hand tunnel on straight runs and concentric to it on curved sections over width of track spacing which is equal to track spacing at second station.
