FIELD: temperature measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: gas mixture is burnt in porous medium under constant filtration of this gas mixture through it with rate at which standing burning wave is formed. Maximum temperature of porous medium in burning wave is measured which presents adiabatic combustion temperature of tested gas mixture. In process of measurement gas mixture is supplied into chamber filled with porous medium of inert granular material. Tube for insertion of thermocouple sealed on one end is mounted along axis of chamber in porous medium. This tube is made from refractory material with thermal characteristics similar to those of material of porous medium and has diameter equal to diameter of its granules which ensures condition of thermal equilibrium. Measurement accuracy rises thanks to correction of errors related to radiation, heat removal along thermocouple and losses of heat for its heating. EFFECT: risen measurement accuracy. 2 cl, 1 dwg
