METHOD OF SELECTING SITE FOR BREEDING MOLLUSKS ON SEA SHELF

FIELD: fish industry. SUBSTANCE: method of selecting site for breeding mollusks on sea shelf is based on carrying out analysis of salt and isotope-oxygen composition of water. According to method, for selecting site which is most favorable for growing of mollusks, initially investigated is composition of sample taken from skeleton substance obtained from shell section having maximal linear growth. Determined in sample is content of elements which are indicators of salts and oxygen isotopes. Selection of dwelling site is executed by comparing obtained data with data of water in shelf being investigated. EFFECT: higher efficiency.
