摘要

The harvester has pairs of contact sensing, mechanically lifting runners which follow the rows and control the steering wheels accordingly by means of a piston and cylinder unit. The harvester is automatically driven along the crop rows (8) with the cutting unit (2) in front followed by the direction sensing unit (10). The fixed direction front wheels propel the machine and the steerable rear wheels controlled by the sensing unit which is pivoted on an axis (15) on the cutting unit. The sensing runners (9) run on each side of a crop row and move vertically on a parallelogram linkage (12) which is raised by a cylinder (16) which signals the steering mechanism of the harvester.
