Condenser for portable flue gas analysis instrument employs Peltier effect cooling

This new design of condensate separator, is especially suited for a portable flue gas- or gas analysis unit. It includes a condensate chamber in a casing, which passes the flow of gas under measurement, between inlet and outlet spigots.The cold junction extension (14) of a Peltier unit, cools the gases, which flow directly in contact with it. This unit has a basically-cylindrical form (15), which is introduced through an opening of the casing into the condensate chamber. Novel features include continuous axial grooves (16) in the cylindrical form, which has an end face (18). Gas is supplied (38) through the bore (38) of a spigot (36), which is advanced closely up to the end face (18) of the cold junction unit (14), which acts as a gas baffle.
