Line marking for sports pitch

The lines (2) on the sports pitch are permanently applied by grooving the field (10) and putting in an inlay (22) of artificial turf with a marking line through the centre. The inlay is put at the same level as the natural turf (11). The inlay is laid onto a prepared bed eg. concrete strip, and is replaced as required. The different bounce generated by the artificial line on the ball is a clear indication that the ball has struck the line.
