The result indicator has a scale and for each person taking part in a competition has an indicating system, with a marking adjustable parallel to the scale. Each indicating system has an indicating strip adjustable parallel to the scale, on which the marking is applied. The marking is formed by the separation line between two differently coloured sections of the indicating strip. Each indicating strip is an endless strip, which is led across two rollers. The indicating strip can consist of elastic material and is applied under tension on the rollers.
