A tall, empty reaction column is charged with a large number of bodies (2) which are subsequently removed. The novelty is that: (a) in the emptying process, the bodies (2) are sucked out through an opening (4) in the lower section of the column (1); (b) in the filling process, the column is charged with bodies (2) transported by air through an inlet (3) in the upper section of the column; (c) the bodies (2) are either exhausted or charged from a location which is approx. at ground level; (d) the suction/pressure process is driven from pref. a tanker (7) vehicle (5) linked to the column (1) by either a suction hose (13) or a pressure-charging hose (15) as required; (e) the tank can be tipped through approx. 90 degrees from the horizontal; (f) the vehicle tank (7) is equipped with a pneumatic pump (20) linked to the rising pipe (15); (g) also claimed is a suitable assembly.
