The cable termination box (18) has cable terminations for at least one earthing cable and for at least one connection cable (56,64) which hangs down inside the concrete housing (10) of a manhole. The casing is made of an insulating material and embedded in the wall (16) of the concrete housing, with the cable termination sealed by a removable water-tight cover (22).
