The method controls the magnetic valve for controlling the injection of fuel in a combustion engine. Charge stored in a storage device is discharged into the load at the start of the control. The storage device is charged according to a condition in which there is no fuel injection, before a first fuel injection. Preferably the storage device is charged when a signal is applied which indicates a start process. Preferably the start signal is a rotation rate signal or a voltage applied to a clamp. Alternatively the storage device may be charged when a signal is applied which indicates the end of a push operation.
