Warhead combating active armour through series of carefully timed detonations

This new warhead combats actively-armoured targets. Its casing contains two charges. These are initiated at different times and are spaced one ahead of the other. An intentional rupturing location, separates the casing in a plane transverse to its length. The novel feature is location of this rupturing location (14) between the charges (5, 11). The design of the warhead is such that the casing is separated here, before arrival of shock waves and explosion cloud caused by detonation of the first charge (5).
