A method for the recovery of alpha - l - aspartyl - l - phenylalanine, l - phenylalanine and aspartic acid

PURPOSE: To provide the novel method for recovering α-APM or its analogue contained in a mother liquor without decomposing the α-APM or its analogue into L-phenylalanine and L-aspartic acid as much as possible, in an α-APM separation process. ;CONSTITUTION: The method for recovering the compound comprises subjecting an α-APM crystal suspension to a solid-liquid separation, concentrating (A liquid) the separated mother liquor without desalting the mother liquid, adding a mineral acid and methanol to a part of the A liquid, or mixing the part with a solvent comprising a mineral acid, methanol and water containing or not containing the α-L-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester to recover the α-APM and its analogue as Q-APM acid adduct, and subsequently hydrolyzing the remaining A liquid with a mineral acid to recover L-phenylalanine, or L- phenylalanine and L-aspartic acid.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
