A nutrient compsn. comprises a cake of finely ground fruits of the genera Ribes, Rubus or Vaccinium. Seeds or berries are added to the cake, to give 10-20% of oil, or skinless seeds or berries to give 20% oil, or 30-70% of fatty matter, e.g. vaseline or food oils, may be added, with the liq. ingredients being sepd. by heating, pressing or filtering the compsn. The nutrient compsn. is a powder, paste, margarine or suspension. The cake is ground to granulometry 0.1-0.6 mm, and 10-100 wt.% of sugars or mineral salts are added.
