The device includes a pneumatic nebuliser (20) and a Scott chamber (27). The nebuliser presents a duct (24), which delivers a liquid sample, surrounded by a second duct (25) which supplies a mixing gas (4). The two ducts are connected to a nozzle (23) which delivers a jet of liquid mixed with gas. A pump (11) is provided along a tube 910) coupled to the nebuliser inner duct. The liquid jet is released inside a tube (36) inserted in the Scott chamber. The chamber is provided with an aerosol outlet (29) and a drain (30) which evacuates the surplus of liquid.
