The focusing system has two co-axial tubes (4,10) feeding into a post-combustion chamber (9). On the chamber wall opposite and co-axial to the pipes is an optical system (16) of a spectrometer (21). The first tube (4) forms a pre-combustion chamber (8) in which is injected a mixture of hydrogen and the gas to be analysed, whose partial combustion produces a first flame (A). The tube is made from a good conducting thermal material and is covered on its exterior surface with a material (20) designed to emit a reactive gas under the effect of the heat generated by combustion. The second tube (10) of diameter greater than the first, forms with the exterior covered surface of the first tube, an annular admission chamber connected to a first hydrogen injection circuit (12). This second tube encloses the tube on one side and outputs on the other side into the post combustion chamber, via an annular opening aligned with the end of the tube.
