The cardboard blank has panels (3) to form the sidewalls of the carton and a panel to form the base of the carton, connected to the side panels by fold lines. There are further panels (8) each forming a connecting pleat with two adjacent side panels. The outer edge (10) is defined in a zone (11) of arc of a circle with a radius equal to the size of the lateral fold lines. A panel (5) forming the cover is connected to an external edge of the side panel by a fold line. The pleated panels form integral fixings and separation for the carton contents.
