The invention discloses a table set item (1) such as knife, spoon or fork constituted by a front part (2) and a handle (3) in the form of a shell (6). It comprises at least one opening (8) and as many decorative pieces (9) as openings (8), each decorative piece (9) having an embossed part (13) shaped to be inserted in the corresponding opening. When the opening (8) is constituted by a sharp cut-out, the decorative piece (9) comprises a peripheral rim (14) resting on the shell (6) internal surface around the said opening (8).
