Joint for joining two sections of road or pavement separated by a groove

The joint has two edge sections (1) and an elastic component (2) inserted between them. The joint has rods or cables (4, 5) which run parallel to the edge sections and are joined to them by anchor plates (3). These are held in position with a bitumen epoxy resin mixed with fine gravel, which extends to the outer edge of the edge section. The edge sections have a sloping side which is angled between 30 and 45 degrees. The anchor plates are attached to this side. The anchor plates may be twisted and made of aluminium rods with one third of their length angled at between 30 and 45 degrees. The anchor plates may be soldered to the edge section.
