MECHANICAL TRANSMISSION WITH DRIVE BY CANNEL DISCS AND AUTOMATIC CLUTCH CONTINUOUSLY DRIVING TWO RIGHT ANGLE OUTPUTS ALLOWING A MOVEMENT EQUIVALENT TO THE SUM OR THE DIFFERENCE OF TWO OTHER MOVEMENTS
Mechanical transmission with splined disc drive and with automatic declutch driving continuously two right angle outputs enabling a motion equivalent to the sum or the difference of two other motions. The invention concerns a transmission with a centrally and axially located input shaft (4) driving a toothed wheel (10) with two cylinders (11) (12) each externally supporting two splined rings (36) (37) (66) (67) in correspondence with two output shaft (6) (7) splined flanges (8) (9), on each internal face of the toothed wheel are machined in circular manner and on different radii bores (31) (62) longitudinally trapezoid in shape housing balls (32) supported by springs (33) operating laterally on the pins (35) (65) of the splined rings, such that when there is a movement on the input shaft or on the output shafts, driving at a certain degree of rotation the toothed wheel in one direction or another, the splined rings arranged on the greater or on the smaller radius engage or disengage the splines (40) (41) (70) (71) of the output shaft flanges and a disengaging occurs automatically on the output shaft having a rotation speed greater than the other on account of the trapezoid splines of the splined rings and of the output shaft flanges. The device is particularly designed for the motorcar industry, agricultural machines, public works vehicles and heavy vehicle industry.
