The vegetable washing machine has a container(2) fitted with an axis on which is placed a open-work pannier with a drive shaft(3) which is rotated by a gear mechanism(7), interlinked with the motor gear(6), fitted in the cover(1). The gear engages with a motor(5) which is actuated by a switch(4). The electric motor(5) can operate with a speed regulator, and can be centred in the cover so that the latter has a practically null centre of gravity. The motor(5) can be placed in a vertical position in the cover. In this case there is no need for the interlinked gears(6,7)
