PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the dyeing of an ombre pattern looking like fissures formed in the ground by using a specific material. ;SOLUTION: A jelly paste 2 prepared by kneading mixture composed of 20-40 wt.% of wheat powder, 20-50 wt.% of baked barley powder, 20-40 wt.% of a dextrin aqueous solution and about 10 wt.% of activated clay in water is applied on the whole part or partial parts of the surface of a silk woven cloth 1 in a specified thickness, this is dried to make cracks 3 in the applied paste 2 like fissures formed in the ground, an acidic dye for silk is rubbed into the cracked parts, the dye is dried, then the applied jelly paste 2 is swept away, and subsequently the dye is fixed on the silk woven cloth 1 by cooking with steam, and as the result, the dyeing of an ombre pattern looking like fissures formed in the ground is performed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
