ASSIMILATION OF GRAIN STORED AT LOW TEMPERATURE AND ASSIMILATING APPARATUS THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assimilate grain stored at a low temperature with preventing the occurrence of condensation caused by abrupt temperature change and the occurrence of crack resulting from the deficiency of relative humidity, by gradually raising the temperature of an assimilating chamber to an outside air temperature while maintaining a relative humidity in a fixed range. ;SOLUTION: Grain stored at a low temperature is held in an assimilating chamber equipped with a temperature adjusting means and a humidity controlling means and the temperature of the assimilating chamber is gradually raised to an outside air temperature while maintaining the relative temperature in a fixed range. This assimilating apparatus is equipped with the assimilating chamber for holding grain stored at a low temperature, a temperature adjusting apparatus for regulating the temperature of the assimilating chamber, a humidity controlling apparatus for regulating the humidity of the assimilating chamber and a control apparatus for regulating the temperature adjusting apparatus and the humidity controlling apparatus. The control apparatus is equipped with an assimilation controlling means for gradually raising the temperature of the assimilating chamber to an outside air temperature while maintaining the relative humidity in a fixed range to assimilate grain stored at a low temperature.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
