SOLUTION: This device consists of a culture tank 1 for culturing a microorganism and decomposing the contaminant in a liq. to be treated and a treated liq. vaporizing tank 7 for aerating the contaminant in the liq. and generating a gas contg. the contaminant, the carriers supporting the microorganism having a contaminant decomposing activity, and having approximately the same apparent sp.gr.as the culture soln. are dispersed in the culture soln., a pipe having a liq. stream jetting mechanism 10 for circulating the dispersed liq. from the upper part in the tank toward the bottom is provided in the middle, the dispersed liq. is sent into the mechanism 10 after the gas in the upper space in the culture tank 1 is sent into the vaporizing tank 7, with the exhaust contg. the volatilized contaminant joined.
