PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user interface method for simplifying the use of video information, improving the degree of freedom of a method for reproducing the video information, and improving the operability, workability, and treatability of the video information by expressing the inside logical structure of the video information. ;SOLUTION: A video index information 100 is a tree structure in which frame information 102, sound information 103, segment information 104, and package information 105 are constituted as structural element objects. Moreover, the segment information 104 manages the package information 105 for managing the plural segment information 104, and the package information 105 is arranged in addition to the frame information 102 and the sound information 103 in the lower order of one segment information 104 in the tree structure.
