METHOD FOR DRAWING RELIEF ON SURFACE ON INORGANIC MATERIAL BY LINE-ENGRAVING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the method capable of drawing a relief on the surface of an inorganic material in a short working time and finishing a background part formed on the periphery of the relief so as to have a texture that is flat and gives a natural feeling characteristic of the material. ;SOLUTION: This method comprises: jetting an abrasive material through a jet nozzle to the surface of a concrete panel 10 to perform the line-engraving of a relief having a prescribed outline shape on the surface; and concurrently cutting a number of parallel grooves 44 on the periphery of the relief to form a backgrounds part on the surface; wherein the line-engraving width (W) formed by the jet nozzle is set so as to be smaller than the pitch (P) formed between the parallel grooves 44 to form parallel recessed and projecting parts and then, comb-teeth shaped thin walls 46 erected between the parallel grooves 44 are chipped off with a chipping tool such as a driver and a chisel.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
